About us

SleepKnow.com is a division of Third Pillar of Health Ltd. We specialise in helping our customers understand how to sleep well and improve personal energy levels during the day through our sleep test and training.

Since 2006 we have worked with leading public and private sector organisations across 4 continents to help improve the personal energy of staff by concentrating on the third (and in many cases the most important) pillar of health – sleep. Whilst most people are now aware that we should eat 5 portions of fruit and vegetables every day and exercise for 30 minutes three to five times a week little is taught or explained about sleep. We are now bringing our popular assessment and training programmes to a consumer audience through SleepKnow.com.

We have worked with leading sleep research scientists in the US and UK to put together comprehensive sleep test and training modules to help our customers better understand factors that impact night time sleep and personal energy during the day. Sufficient good quality sleep is vital to keeping us healthy and productive. Sleep also plays a major role in preparing the body and mind for an alert, productive, psychologically and physiologically healthy tomorrow.

With sleep a little knowledge tends to go a long way. Whether it is understanding the impact of alcohol and caffeine or understanding the science of sleep and basic sleep architecture our corporate seminars have met with widespread approval – 96% of attendees learnt something new to help manage their energy AND would recommend that their colleagues attend. By putting the sleep test and training online we can now deliver the same programmes to a wider consumer audience and give them the opportunity to improve their night time sleep and day time energy.

We know that sleep duration and sleep quality is declining. At the recent Vitality Show we carried out sleep tests for 209 people. Whilst average sleep duration was an acceptable 7 hours and 15 minutes 56% of respondents said they regularly felt tired during the day and for 27% fatigue regularly impacted their work. Also despite good average sleep duration 76% of respondents said they did not feel as though they achieve sufficient sleep – the most common reasons were limited time available, work and personal worries and being woken by partners.

Sleep problems often mean we have trouble sleeping or simply can’t sleep leaving us feeling tired all the time. Doctors now say that 1 in 3 patients are complaining that they are always tired. Sleep is an important constituent of good health, especially mental health and together with cardiovascular fitness and nutrition form the three pillars of health.

Take our sleep test and training modules to improve your night time sleep and personal energy during the day. Best wishes for a bright, energetic, alert and healthy future from the team at SleepKnow.com.
